We understand that facing a DWI or related offense can be overwhelming. That’s why we focus on support, education, and accountability—helping you not just meet requirements, but grow from the experience.

What is SATOP?

The Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Program (SATOP) is a state-mandated education and treatment program for individuals referred by the Missouri Department of Revenue due to alcohol- or drug-related driving offenses. Completion of SATOP is often required for license reinstatement or to satisfy court or probation conditions.

Our SATOP Services

We offer the following components of the SATOP program:

  • Offender Management Unit (OMU) Screening
    • The first step in SATOP, where we evaluate your situation and determine the appropriate level of service.
  • Level of Service Options
    • Education Program (OEP) – 10-hour course for first-time offenders.
    • Clinical Intervention Program (CIP) – Intensive outpatient services for individuals with higher needs.
    • Serious and Repeat Offender Program (SROP) – For chronic or high-risk offenders.

Our experienced staff will work with you to ensure you're placed in the right program for your unique circumstances.

Get Started Today

To begin the SATOP process, clients must come to our Monett location to:

  1. Pay the required evaluation fee of $375
  2. Complete an initial questionnaire
  3. Set an appointment to return for a personal evaluation with one of our licensed counselors

When you return for your evaluation, please be sure to bring:

  • Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement)
  • A valid photo ID
  • Proofs of financial income

This documentation is needed to complete a Standard Means Test, which is used to determine your eligibility for state financial assistance—especially for higher levels of intervention like the Clinical Intervention Program (CIP).
